1 bottle of red wine
Honey (to taste)
1 orange (juice and peel)
1 lemon (juice only)

Step-by-Step Instructions
Heat the wine Pour the bottle of red wine into a large pot and warm it on low heat. Avoid boiling the wine to preserve its flavor.
Add the spices Toss in 4 cardamom pods, 3 cinnamon sticks, and 8 star anise. Let the spices infuse for about 15 minutes as the wine gently simmers.
Add citrus juices After 15 minutes, stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and ½ cup of orange juice.
Add orange peel Five minutes before finishing, add the peel of an orange to enhance the aroma and flavor.
Sweeten it up Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey. Adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more or less.
Optional: Add brandy For an extra kick, pour in a splash of brandy before serving.
Important Notes
Wine Selection: Avoid using high-end wines, very tannic wines, or light-bodied wines, as they don’t work well for mulled wine.
